In ophthalmology, a variety of treatments are used to diagnose and treat eye diseases and visual impairments. These include both conservative measures such as prescribing glasses or contact lenses and drug therapies, for example for inflammation or glaucoma. Preventive measures such as regular eye examinations also play an important role in detecting diseases at an early stage and preserving vision.
